Eugenie Bouchard: "My tennis is coming back, despite the difficulties"
Eugenie Bouchard is back to talk about her career at the Transylvania Open in Cluj-Napoca. The Canadian star said: "The last year and a half has been the hardest of my career. I had never had surgery before, and dealing with it is really difficult mentally.
It tested my patience, but it made me feel bad. remember and confirm my love for tennis. I never really wanted to stop despite going through rehab and personal trainers. You have those thoughts about why you are doing it, but it was never really a doubt, and I always knew I wanted to come back.
My first goal was to have no pain on the court, something that makes playing tennis a lot more fun, and try to get back as soon as possible."
Eugenie Bouchard: "My tennis is coming back, despite the difficulties"
I feel my tennis is improving with each tournament I play, and I prepare for the next year to be a completely normal year. I didn't know what to expect in the end. i of tennis. I came back faster than expected and I feel good with my shots and my game, but in the first two games I didn't feel good, because playing a match is so different from playing in training.
And even though I was playing well in training it wasn't easy to translate that into matches, but now that I've played more I feel like my game is making a comeback. Playing against Belinda I felt I should have won, and so it was a disappointing result, but it showed me that I can compete with the best female players in the world.
Tim Blenkiron is a great coach but he also has a great personality, and it's easy to be around with him for many weeks. It's really fun to travel the world with him."
